Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment uses small needles to create tiny punctures in the skin which initiate the skin’s natural wound healing response and renews skin cells.
As well as witnessing an immediate plumping effect, the production of collagen and elastin will continue for up to three months, with the age-defying results lasting for up to five years. Microneedling can also tackle concerns such as large pores, fine lines, acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. Your treatment will also include Lumineo LED Light Therapy to enhance results and aid healing.

Microneedling just got an upgrade. The latest treatment at Skin Goals pairs precision microneedling with advanced Ameela® exosomes to elevate skin rejuvenation to the next level.
Ameela® exosomes are bioengineered cellular messengers, rich in growth factors, peptides, proteins, PDRN (polynucleotides) and regenerative signalling molecules that support skin repair and renewal.

DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is incredibly popular amongst celebrities for its ability to provide instant results whilst still targeting a range of concerns such as congestion, dullness and uneven texture. Using a surgical grade scalpel to gently scrape away dead skin cells, the treatment also removes fine peach fuzz hair, leaving you with a dewy, bright and beautiful complexion. It is advised that you do not exfoliate or use any Vitamin A product (such as Retinol) for one week prior to treatment. Please also be aware you are strongly advised against applying makeup for at least 24 hours following your treatment.

Our skin is continually exfoliating, shedding dead cells and replacing them. However, it doesn’t always do so as fast as we’d like and sometimes it helps to give this natural process a boost. Periodic chemical peeling of the skin helps stimulate cellular activity and can be used for addressing a variety of issues such as acne, scarring, hyperpigmentation, dull complexion and more.
During our consultation, I will select a peel to target your specific concerns. These may include but are not limited to professional strength glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, and kojic acids. Your treatment will also include a calming cryotherapy facial massage and Lumineo LED Light Therapy to enhance results and aid healing.
SKIN GOALS SIGNATURE FACIAL

The ultimate combination of classic facial techniques and advanced aesthetic practices, uniquely designed at Skin Goals to leave your skin fresh and glowing but with minimal downtime.
After a nourishing, deep cleanse, I’ll use dermaplaning to remove layers of unwanted dead skin cells and “peach fuzz”. This will perfectly prep the skin for the application of a high-quality, high-strength hyaluronic acid which I’ve chosen specifically for its low molecular weight and subsequent hydrating abilities.
Next, we’ll use the power of microneedling on the face and neck to deliver the HA serum even deeper into the skin where its benefits will continue to be seen and felt for weeks to come.
We’ll finish with LED Light Therapy to aid healing and reduce inflammation.

Dermaplaning and Lumineo LED Light Therapy facials do not. Following a session of microneedling, a chemical peel, or the Skin Goals Signature Facial, you should expect to be red for a day or two, followed by some dry skin (for up to a week).

It is best to wait at least 24 hours following your advanced facial. The only exception to this is following the Lumineo LED Light Therapy treatment where you can apply makeup immediately after.

You can have dermaplaning, however, please inform me during our consultation if you are pregnant as we will need to skip the use of LED light therapy during your treatment. No other advanced facial is suitable during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.

Not at all. The thought of a blade sliding across your face is a scary one, I agree, but it’s not painful at all and many clients find it relaxing.

Contrary to what you’ve been told, dermaplaning (and shaving) does not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. The reason hair may feel different after dermaplaning/shaving is simply because the hair has been cut straight across, but in reality it’s the same texture it was before and will continue to grow at the same speed. Removing fine vellus hair allows deeper penetration of skincare products as well as a giving a smoother base to apply makeup.

My Dermapen DPM8 allows me to control how deeply we penetrate the skin and this has a huge bearing on how comfortable the treatment is. For less complicated cases, we can work at a level that does not cause any discomfort, but to treat severe skin laxity or extensive acne scarring for example, we will need to penetrate a little deeper to maximise the benefits.

I usually recommend trying your first session without numbing cream as it does have a slight impact on the results. However, if you know you have a low pain threshold and/or are worried about discomfort, it’s worth adding it to your appointment. For context, I frequently perform microneedling on myself without numbing cream, however I don’t think I could wax my own legs. I hope that helps!

You may experience a little tingling, tightness, or warming sensation, but most clients would not consider the treatment to be painful. I will continuously monitor your comfort level whilst the peel is active, which may be anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes.
